Chamber of Commerce Quarterly Meeting
The quarterly meeting was held July 21, 2011 at noon at the community center.
Present were Greg
Furness, Melanie Smith, Bill Kirkac, Joey Latunski,
Jeanie Fuller, Michael Makens, Monica
Forest, RaeJean Flora & Jeanette
Warkenthien.
Lunch was served by Double “S” Presso.
Greg Furness
called the meeting to order and the financial reports were approved
as presented.
Potato Days will be Saturday, July 30, 2011. This is the 20th annual
event. Buttons will be sold again this year with the top prize being
$400 in Clark Bucks. Potato Day t-shirts and potato guns will also
be sold by the Chamber. The Inflatables are being sponsored by
local businesses and organizations. Keystone Potato Co from Pennsylvania has donated the potatoes for the
wrestling. Flyers have been printed and distributed that list
the schedule of activities. A few more items might be added. The
Potato Day Sponsoring businesses are listed on this flyer.
Thus far 28 vendors have signed up for Arts in the Park.
Greg reported that the Chamber Revolving Fund
has a balance of $2558.00 of the original money that must be loaned
out by August 15 or we loose this money. Applications can be picked
up from any loan committee member and any local business is eligible
to apply.
