Four city parks provide enjoyment and fun for area residents and visitors.  Clark has been a Tree City U.S.A. for over 24 years, and each year the community’s appreciation for the town’s beautiful trees is shown with new planting, prunings, and events that celebrate the trees.

Flat Iron Park provides a scenic stopover along Highway 212 and honors war veterans for service during war times. The railroad tracks ran through this park in the early years of Clark.  A tree was planted during the Clark Centennial in 1981 and has a commemorative stone marker.  A time capsule was also buried at the park during the Centennial Celebration.  The history of the Flat Iron Soldier Memorial is quite interesting, as it was built to honor World War I Veterans, and an additional memorial was built to honor later veterans of World War II and the Korean War, and Vietnam War.

Dickinson Park features camper and electrical hookups and one of the best baseball diamonds in the state. For more information, contact the City of Clark or check their website at www.cityofclark.com.  Picnic shelters, playground equipment, and horseshoe pits are featured alongside the baseball diamond, and high school football games are played there in the fall. The baseball park has been completely renovated by the Clark Rotary Club.  The improvements include new lights, dugouts, chain link fences, press box, grandstand, sodding and an underground sprinkler system. A new concession stand and bathrooms were added recently. Dickinson Park is located 1 block north of Highway 212 on Cloud Street.

The Swimming Pool Park complex features a heated swimming pool, outdoor basketball courts, volleyball courts, playground equipment, and picnic shelters. It is an excellent place for group picnics and get-togethers. Clark’s swimming pool was originally built with volunteer labor in the 1950’s, spearheaded by the Clark Rotary Club.  The pool is open afternoons and evenings.  Swimming lessons are given each summer.
In 2006 the Clark Rotary Club planted 30 trees at the Clark Swimming Pool Park, and helped to water and take care of them through the summer and get them ready for winter.  This was part of the Rotary Tree Project for the city of Clark.

The city softball complex features two regulation-size tennis courts with a backboard constructed by the Clark FFA, and an excellent ball diamond which is used for softball and Little League Baseball.  An excellent Youth Summer Recreation Program is held for children ages 5-14.  T-ball, softball, baseball, and various other activities are offered.  The softball complex is located 1 block north of Highway 212 on Clinton Street, next to the Clark Junior/Senior High School.
